MTC

Uncle Ben received the following email, changing Taylor's MTC arrival: 

Dear President Grasteit,

I have just been informed by our language evaluators at the MTC that Elder Taylor Jonathan Green has been evaluated as speaking Spanish well enough to not need the 6 week language training at the Provo MTC on October 14, 2015. Because of this, the MTC date will need to be changed to 2 week training.

We should change Elder Green to report to the Provo MTC on August 19, 2015 (or September 30, 2015) so he can receive training with the native Spanish-speakers. Because of the short notice, I understand that it may cause some difficulty to the missionary. If there is a need to keep the MTC date the same, please let me know and we will keep the original date.

The reason why we are trying to change the MTC date before missionaries enter the MTC because there have been a lot of missionaries (who do not need language training) who have been sent to their missions off the regular transfer cycle. In these cases, the missionaries arrive alone to the mission. The mission presidents prefer to receive their missionaries together as a group so that they can be welcomed together.

Please discuss this new date with the missionary and let me know what is decided. Thank you.
